Arizona Short Sale Help

If you are having trouble paying the mortgage, or are already behind on payments on your Arizona home or investment property, there are lots of opportunities to save your home, your credit, or both. The first thing you need to do is find out what your options are.  One option is a short sale.  In Arizona, short sales are very popular right now. Here is a comprehensive series detailing How an Arizona Short Sale Works, who can do one, and everything involved.  Here is a sample:

If you need short sale forms and/or documentation lists, you can get them here.

Unfortunately, one of the hottest topics in today's Arizona real estate market is the subject of short-sales, foreclosures, and lender owned properties (REO). Now, we're going to begin a whole series here on short-sales, but you'll get the answers to your questions on the other subjects as a matter of course. There is a LOT of information to cover, but cover it we will, and in as logical a manner as possible. Here is a list of questions that we will answer, and when they are all done, we'll post it in the archives:

1.) What is a short-sale?

2.) Who is eligible to do a short-sale?

3.) How do I prepare myself, my home, and my finances for a short-sale?

4.) What is the process of doing a short-sale in Arizona?

5.) What are the consequences of doing a short-sale on my home?

What Is A Short-Sale?

A short-sale occurs when a home is sold for less than the current owner owes to the bank. It's really that simple, but like a lot of things in life, simple doesn't necessarily mean "easy." READ THE FULL ARTICLE ABOUT ARIZONA SHORT SALES. . .

When you are facing the prospect of losing your home, you need to get the best information you can. Unfortunately, banks are not always helpful in providing solutions. The lender's primary interest is getting the money owed to them, in whatever way possible. It is a tremendous help to get third party counseling on what your options are. A housing counselor is a God-Send in situations like this. A housing counselor is an individual who works for a non-profit organization whose job it is to provide you with information on what your options are. Here is a list of places that can help. They are all approved by the Department of Housing and Urban Development. Use them! They are priceless.
